Alf Ivar BLIKBERG

Mr. Alf Ivar Blikberg is a Programme Management Officer with the Global Education and Training Institute (GETI) of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) in Incheon, Republic of Korea. Previously, he worked as a Section Chief in the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), based in New York, where he oversaw emergency operations across the Asia-Pacific region.

For over 20 years, Mr. Blikberg has worked with international organizations including the World Bank, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations in the areas of sustainable development, emergency response and disaster risk reduction. Originally from Norway, he holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
