Aurel CROISSANT
Dr. Aurel Croissant is Professor of Political Science and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Heidelberg University (Germany) and Visiting Professor at Ewha Womans University, Seoul. His research interests include civil–military relations, democratization, authoritarianism, and comparative Asian politics. He is editor-in-chief of the journal Democratization and a member of the Academic Advisory Boards of the German Institute for Global Affairs, the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik, the Bertelsmann Transformation Index, and the Sustainable Governance Indicators. He was Fellow of the Korea Foundation, the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy National Endowment for Democracy, the East West Center (Honolulu) and Australian National University. He is managing regional coordinator for Asia-Oceania in the Sustainable Governance Indicators and the Bertelsmann Transformation Index.
