David BERRIGAN

David Berrigan, Ph.D., M.P.H., has been a Program Officer in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences since 2003. He graduated from Mendocino High School in Northern California and has a PhD from the University of Utah and an MPH from UC Berkeley. His programmatic work and research focus on how the built and natural environments influence physical activity and obesity, on better measurement of behavior and context, and on alcohol as a target for cancer prevention and control. Dr. Berrigan is strongly committed to research aimed at health for all via environments and institutions that support healthy choices, preventive services, and health care, regardless of demographic or economic circumstances.
