Professor Eunhee Ha is Dean of College of Medicine, Professor in the Department of Environmental Medicine, Director of the Research Support Center for Ko-CHENS (Korean Children’s Environmental Health Study).
She graduated from Ewha Womans University in 1987 and was appointed as Professor of Ewha Womans University in 1993. She served as Exchange Professor at Harvard School of Public Health in 1999. In 2009, she participated as a member of the WHO Organizing Committee for the Third International Conference on Children’s Health and Environment.
In 2017, she was given a chance to stay at WHO in Geneva to participate in the preparation of guidelines on air pollution and its health effects on children. Since 2006, she has supervised a birth cohort study in Korea to lead research on the field of children’s environment and established environmental health research network to conduct research on interventions for policy use as well as basic research. She has also established Birth Cohort Consortium (BICCA) in Asia and has been involved in child health research to promote environmental health for children in Asia. From 2018 to 2021, she was elected as the Executive Director of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) for the first time in Asia.
