Mayfong MAYXAY

Prof Mayfong Mayxay graduated from University of Health Sciences of Laos as a medical doctor in 1993 and completed his Ph.D in Tropical Medicine from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2001. He has led and conducted many clinical trials, clinical research and other field research in Laos since 2000 and between 2002 and 2006, he carried out his post-doctoral fellowship in clinical tropical medicine which was associated with Mahidol and Oxford Universities. Until August 29, 2023 he has published 228 papers in peer-reviewed journals which have been indexed in the Pubmed.

Prof Mayfong is currently a Visiting Professor at University of Oxford and Vice-Rector of the UHS, Chairman of the Research Promotion and Management Committee of the University of Health Sciences, Chairman of the Lao Infectious Disease Society (LIDS), President of the Lao National Ethics Committee for Health Research, and Chairman of Lao One Health University Network (LAOHUN).
