Tong Ryoung Jung

Director General, Bureau of Infectious Disease Emergency Preparedness and Response, KDCA

Dr Tong Ryoung JUNG is currently the Director General for the Bureau of Infectious Disease Emergency Preparedness and Response in the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA). He was earlier the Director for the Division of Health Insurance Benefits in the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW). He was formerly Assist Secretary to the President, in charge of health policy in the Presidential Office. 

Dr Tong Ryoung JUNG Master’s in Medical History and Humanities from the Seoul National University, and a medical degree from the Seoul National University, Republic of Korea.

Dr Tong Ryoung JUNG has been working public health for over 20 years and have experience in various fields such as health promotion, NCDs, Public Healthcare, Bioethics and Global Health.
